Kardelen is my favourite Turkish restaurant in Hamburg. Here, daily, changing “home food” is served amongst döner etc. This is really close to what is cooked at home in your childhood. Contrary to what is thought of Turkish food, not everything has meat in it. There is vegeterian and vegan food too. During the lunch time there is generally a cue but worth the taste. Staff is nice. Place is cozy.

We had our lunch there today and it was such a sweet place with sweet staff around us and we loved the food , it was very tasty. I ate köfte and there was cacık , rice and salad in my plate. and prices are reasonable

Food service and atmosphere are all great here, really the emotional support needed for all the people working around this area. One time a colleague ordered but didn't have cash (back when it's cash only), the staff chased outside and give him his food and said it's on house. Never seen this kind of friendly gesture anywhere else.

We tried this restaurant with my daughter, yes overall döner in Germany has its own characteristics it’s not the meat only it’s all come together for a delicious first , from bread to all vegetables, meat to sauces this place deserves a big applause for what they achieved and being on a different league from your everyday döner places on the street , I will definitely come back
